In the Levant, Georgia and Armenia stick out with a lot of building activity in vernacular styles, both church buildings and other type of projects. As Georiga and Armenia are culturally linked to Russia through common history, there is a lot of exchange between these countries. Both Armenia and Georgia have a unique vernacular that has followed through soviet times until today. In the Levant projects of interest are found in Lebanon, Israel as well as the West bank and Jordan.
